The AMC Squad

The AMC Squad is a first-person shooter with an extensive single-player campaign, using the EDuke32 engine. The game combines many of the traditional aspects of boomer shooters, such as the frenetic gameplay that characterizes some of the classics of the genre, with other more modern elements, such as an extensive and complex storyline, or the option of choosing between several characters.

Unzip and start playing instantly

To start playing The AMC Squad, you don't need to install or configure anything in particular. Simply unzip the game folder in any directory and double click the executable: amcsquad.exe. That's it. The primary configuration will take a few seconds to complete the first time you run the game, but any time you run the game after that it will start much faster.

A colossal single-player campaign

The The AMC Squad campaign is split into multiple episodes, which should ideally be played in order, as they all form part of the same story. The game starts as follows: After the death of Duke Nukem, who sacrificed himself to save the world, a secret organization continues its ongoing efforts to defend Planet Earth from all threats. This organization is called the AMC Squad, composed of around a dozen characters capable of taking on any enemy.

Each episode is a whole new world

The AMC Squad offers players a series of episodes, each consisting of several levels. The first episode is The Men Who were AMC, with six normal levels and two secret ones. The second episode is named Showdown in Hong Kong, with ten normal levels and six extra missions. The third episode is called Quest for the Golden Sang, and has eight levels and seven extra missions. The fourth episode is Law of the Knights, with twelve different levels in total. The fifth and sixth episodes are still in development.

Choose between more than ten characters

The best thing about The AMC Squad is that you can play any level or episode with the character of your choice. You will have around a dozen available, each with their own weapons and special abilities. Among the characters you will find Merlijn Oostrum, a knight who wields swords and axes, and Sang, a warlock capable of casting spells with fire or ice. Other characters, such as Zaxtor or Rusty Nails offer slightly more conventional characters.
